Ploughshare Managing Director Steve Tollestrup has won a seat on the Waitakere Ranges Local Board and another on the Waitakere Licensing Trust in the October local body elections.

“It is a real honour to have  the confidence of the public and be elected to represent the west. It provides the opportunity to work even closer with the Waitakere community for social and economic development as well as the continued work on the protection of the ranges and coast.”

Steve was elected along with Greg Presland, Neil Henderson, Sandra Coney, Saffron Toms and Denise Yates.

Steve also won election to the Waitakere Licensing Trust which oversees  the community managed trust that is responsible for alcohol and gambling in the west and the distribution of licensing trust funds from profits back out to the community.

“My election mandate was harm minimisation and maximum profit made available for community funding and I’ll be working hard to make sure that is achieved.”
